- Good – very quiet, adjustable (my wife is 5′ 3″), has a built in fan and controls work well. Bought the AC adapter so I won’t have to deal with batteries. Assembly took an hour and a half. Not too hard, not too easy. Came with allen wrenches for assembly. You only need a screwdriver and adjustable wrench to complete the assembly. Padding on seat is a little thin. My wife added a pillow pad. Bad – the back pad or the overall seat was a crooked in that the seat on one side was further back by 1/4″ than the other side. I added some washers to the right side fastener location to even it up.

- This product far exceeded my expectations. First off, it did not take me long to put it together. Maybe an hour and I consider myself average when it comes to being handy. One trick to remember, when pulling the cable for the computer, use the twist ties that are already there to pull the cable through the tube. The things that I love about the bike are the programs that are part of the computer. There are a few pre-programmed workouts on the bike as well as a weight loss program that will track you for a few weeks. You also have the option to manually set you workout tension and length to workout. This is a gym quality machine as far as the features go. Another great feature are the built in speakers for your MP3 player or iPOD as well as the fan for comfort. You get so much bang for you buck for a sturdy product that weights maybe 50 pounds.
- I am really happy so far with my purchase. After researching a lot of different exercise bikes, I chose this one for many reasons. It was, as stated, by other buyers, relatively easy to put together. It is comfortable and very user friendly. The large display console is easy to read and use. The bike has many levels of programs and resistance. I really like that there is no resistance ‘knob’ to adjust. Many comments, in regard to other models/manufacturers, one common complaint was the resistance knob didn’t seem to do much, more decorative than functional. The tablet holder, speakers and water bottle holder are really nice add on’s to an already great piece of equipment.
- Bike was easy to put together. And a great ride. Love I can hook up my iPod to it and the fan comes on handle when riding for more than 30 min.
- My wife is really happy with it and has made it part of her day. But, here are a few concerns, it should have come with the power cord, it being a needed option, should have been displayed better, since it is stores, might be good to carry them in stores. The screw that holds the battery door, you have to take the four screws out to take it off, screw in different place, console wouldn’t have to come off. But, having just about 2 weeks, very happy I picked this one.
- I read reviews of several recumbent bikes prior to purchasing the Golds Gym 400R. Not difficult to assemble. The programming is great and the built in speakers are great as I plug in my IPad and watch tv while biking. It adjusts easily from my 5’4″ to my husbands 6’2″. Comfortable seat. Have already recommended to several people.
- The resistance was way to hard to peddle. Level 1 was the same as level 6 on the bike I’m borrowing. The control panel is massive and I’m short so it was right in my face. The fan was great through. And it wasn’t very stable. But Walmart was really good to take it back. Sorry it just didn’t work for me
