- I just used this pressure washer on my 22′ deck with absolutely no problems. I am a staunch believer in Campbell Hausfeld and was not disappointed. The only assembly is plugging in the hoses which have the “quick attach/release” feature to make assembly a snap. This is a powerful, little machine, light weight, easy to maneuver, sufficiently long electrical cord and no leaking at the water intake valve. I couldn’t figure out where the detergent bottle attached until I read the instructions (duh). I found that just power washing with plain water is more effective than using detergent. The detergent bottle’s spray is not adjustable so it only fans but not very concentrated. My deck was very muddy from cat tracks and the water was sufficient to rout out the dirt. The wand can be twisted for “fan” variances which is handy if you have bursitis…LOL. The nozzle is adjustable from fine spray to cut-your-toes-off jet. I used a medium fan spray that got in between the deck boards and flushed out the crud. I highly recommend this machine for any kind of project. Now, who wants to come stain my nice clean deck?
- I have wanted a pressure washer for a long time, but as a single 60 year old grandmother, I have been hesitant to purchase one, as I really wasn’t sure what to buy. When I had to chance to test and review this Campbell Hausfeld 1500 PSI pressure Washer, I was delighted to have the opportunity. This pressure washer is relatively small for what I expecting, but really happy that it was. I certainly did not want to drag around a big unit. The assembly was extremely easy and the quick attach/release feature is wonderful. The machine seems pretty light at only 15 pounds and easy to move around. I was very happy to see the length of the electrical cord was 35 feet, as this makes getting around easier without having to constantly find another electrical outlet. The small size of this unit makes storing this a breeze and will fit in any corner of your garage or shed. As for cleaning, I couldn’t be more delighted with the performance. This does have an attached bottle for using a cleaning solution which is another nice feature. The added wheels on this unit keep it from tipping over, which I absolutely love! I used this on a pretty grungy, moldy, bird bath, and although it took a little time to clean, the jet of water pulverized right through the gunk! The nozzle does adjust from a fine spray to a very powerful jet of water. This unit also has a foot pedal for stop and start operation which I greatly appreciated. Not having to constantly bend over to turn on/off the unit is a major plus for me as I have a bad back. I don’t think this unit would be all together usual for a huge deck cleaning job, but for smaller jobs it is just perfect! I can’t wait until spring when I can use this to clean the siding on my house.
- I noticed the same minor deficiency as a previous writer that there is no mention of how to use the soap dispenser nor the purpose of the two ports on the sides. The manual is well written other than that. I bought the unit on the reputation of Campbell Hausfeld as well as its compact size and higher than usual water flow for a unit of this category. It does an effective job for cleaning the mansard roof on our home, the driveway and the sidewalks. The feature of auto shut off is very good when you’re not activity pressure. The nozzle works easily to get different level sprays. It is quiet and easy to move. It is easy to store. Walmart had a special when you include 1 gallon detergent with the sprayer–the whole combination saves $8+ in actual dollars. That’s quite a sale. Very happy with unit and would recommend.
- The unit is great. Just what I wanted. Small, light weight and it really works good. The only, very minor, complaint is that the instruction manual didn’t even mention how to install the wheels. (It was quite obvious how to do it.) It also didn’t mention how to adjust the soap applicator or what the the connector studs on the unit were used for. (Storage of the nozzle and soap applicator).
- I shopped around for a good price on a pressure washer. I like the prone setup of this unit that prevents it from falling down every time I pull the hose too far. Price was right, quick shipping, easy setup. I have used it for a couple of hours to clean siding and shade-canopies. It works exactly as I had hoped.
- This is a very light weight pressure washer. Not much more than the hose and a good spray head. If you are looking to pressure wash a large area like a driveway or big deck–buy a gas powered one. I am taking this little unit back. The 1500 PSI rating is a joke. Sorry
