• Like many of you, I read these reviews before I purchased this bed. I ordered it, assembled it, and it’s been in my 10-yr-old’s room for 2 weeks now. Concerns: 1. Yes, there is a “paint” odor. We wiped down the bed after assembly, and it reduced the smell quite a bit. 2. It took a while to assemble (compared to Ikea or Sauder products.) But I feel the construction is very solid, better than the bunk beds we purchased at the furniture store. I recommend two people assemble the loft; there were plenty of times I wish I had a second pair of hands. 3. Read from earlier reviews about damage from shipping; mine arrived at my door intact and in perfect working order within 4 days (even though I paid for slow shipping.) 4. Recommend purchasing felt pads for the bottom of the posts, and bottom of ladder if you have a wood floor. While the loft is sturdy, it does rub the floor a bit as child moves around above. LIKES: 1. Solid construction 2. Very “tidy” (ladder fits perfectly, bed supports fit perfectly, exposed hardware is smooth, no rough edges, paint uniform and sturdy) 3. Lots of room underneath. 4. Good for an older child too; even my 15-yr-old finds the head space comfortable. Hope this helps!
• My 7 year old daughter loves her bed. It is the perfect height. It’s not too high yet there’s plenty of room underneath. It is very well made,solid wood. It wasn’t mentioned on-line but you need a spring mattress We already had a mattress so we placed a piece of plywood under the mattress and it solved the problem. Would definitely recommend this bed.
• This bed was for my daughter and she is beyond thrilled with it. We were very pleased with the quality of this bed as it is made out of solid wood. It took my husband and I about an hour to install the bed. This is a two person assemble. I would also recommend having a drill, it will take double that if you try and use the allen wrench provided.

• Despite a few flaws on individual pieces, (called 800 number and replacement parts were shipped) this bed is sturdy and should last my 8 year old a few years! The clearance under the bed is great. I would definitely purchase again and highly recommend this bed for the price. We looked everywhere and I’m pleased we went with this one.
• Very sturdy and looks great. My 6 year old daughter loves it. The only problem was, she didn’t want to go to bed because she was so excited about it. It does have a little smell to it, but I’m sure it will fade as times goes by. Must be the paint or something.
• I purchased this bed about 3 years ago for my older daughter and I love it. It’s sturdy and breaks down easy (military we move a lot). It looks nice with any covers that you put on it. I just purchased this bed again for my younger daughter and I know it will serve me as well as the first one did. Assembly is easy, however after a while it is easier if you have two people helping to put it together.
• I was extremly disappointed in this purchase. When i unpacked it I noticed one of the posts was dented. The quality was a huge disappontment. It had a lot of scratches on it. Poor quality alll around. Would not recommened it. Although it looms nice once asembled.
