- works great, better quality and stability than I had expected. Its a fun workout with lots of options. Check you tube videos for workouts.
- this machine is great for your arms & legs and it works your shoulders.so this is the perfect machine for anyone.the slide makes this so easy you will love it!
- I didn’t want a bulky work out machine with weights. I wanted a machine I could collapse & move around when need be. I read the reviews & looked at this machine & the total gym. Most of the bad reviews seemed to be from the packaging of the machine or from a faulty part when received. The cost was minimal so I didn’t feel like a wasted much $ if I end up donating it to a church garage sale or giving it away. Placed my order & hoped for the best. Apparently the manufacturer must have read some of the reviews as well. The packaging was very sturdy, no broken parts and arrived early. Very easy to put together. It remains to be seen if I will use it regularly or not but I am glad to have it available to use. Would have liked some work out routines included with it but I cut off the side of the box which displays pictures of different positions to reference. My opinion is so far so good. Go for it.
- I purchased this to replace a total gym that was about 15 years old. I liked the price point of the weider and the accessories it came with over the other brands. It is very easy to take down and easy to use. Definitely recommend to those who want ease of use and equipment that takes up little space.
- I did think I would get a really good work out with this but I did, I can even invent my on moves and work out. And when you hook up the resistance bands it really will add to you’re work out. I also ordered the leg work out harness from weider for even more work out’s. I also order more resistance bands and doubled them up for when I do squats.

We really like the equipment. Very versatile in number of exercises it can be used for and can also be adjusted according to amount of resistance desired. Could use a couple minor design changes, but overall it is made well and works as it should. Well worth the $200, especially when compared to a similar product being sold on TV for $1,600! We definitely recommend it and love the convenience of having a “gym” in our home rather than having to go elsewhere for a good workout.
- As a previous owner of the Total Gym, the Weider Total Body Works 5000 does basically the same exercises. The frame and working parts are sturdy, but the biggest difference is my opinion is the cost. The Weider machine is an incredible value. I’m 6’3″ and weight 230 pounds. The construction of this model provides more than enough support without fear of collapsing. I’m impressed!
- I plan on going to the Weider-site again to see if I can get what I need. I got no poster and no exercise instruction book. I am 59 and have been limited in my ability to walk due to back pain. I had surgery and now Im not in pain, but all my lower extremity muscles are very weak. I want to use this machine but dont know where to start. I spent over 2 hours looking for the “Weider Book” some people have referred to, but could not find it on their site or other sites.. I am so frustrated !!!!!
