Reviews

  • As usual APC delivers excellent power for a desktop and associated hardware. Simple to install and to integrate with Windows for auto shutdown for extended power outages. A must for any computer system.
  • Bought this as a BB best deal for a great price. Was easy to set up, just insert the battery, plug into the wall and plug devices into it. I have my internet modem/router, NAS, mobile tel Microcell and another device connected, everything worked well from the start.
To test the battery backup, I turned off the circuit breaker to the area, all the lights and wall sockets went off but the battery took over in such a short period that none of the connected devices noticed an interruption. Only kept it off for 5 – 10 minutes but during that time, internet connectivity and access to my NAS and other protected devices was not impacted. Don’t know how long the protection lasts but I expect it to be more than an hour.
Very happy with this APC unit..
  • I purchased this APC to replace a back up power supply that had lost its ability to re charge. The unit works great in that capacity and has also reduced the stress on the server by regulating the power flow and eliminating the ups and downs we sometimes receive in an industrial park.
  • This APC unit is replacing a 1100RS unit that had it’s control board go bad just after a year of use. I hope I don’t have the same problem with this one. I really like the display on the front and it appears to be better built than the 1100RS. Time will tell.
  • I own several of these. Normally I buy the 1500VA version of this unit but they were not in stock. Of all the UPS’s I’ve owned these have never given me any problems when running on my backup generator. It runs bit higher than 60hz. Lesser UPS’s just keep cycling on and off which can’t be good for the attached equipment. These just run and only engage the battery when one of the refrigerators or portable AC units come on. That’s actually why I bought this one because the Sam’s Club special $99 UPS would not work with the genset at all. Plugged this one in and I was back online.
  • This unit was recommended by the Apple consultant at the Best Buy store. Sure enough, it was easy to install – a “plug and go”, as they call it.
  • I bought this unit because I live out in the country and my power often blinks on and off with frequent brown outs. I use this to protect my entertainment center, including 3D 55 inch LCD TV and blu-ray player. Power transfer is instantanious, as I have continued watching a movie without any interuption, even after my power has went out. It’s powerul enough that it can provide a couple of hours power to my entertainment system before running down. You can connect it to a computer to change settings and check status. I highly recommend this unit.
  • This is the second battery back up serge protector I have bought. My house is old and the wiring isn’t very good. I have one of these on my entertainment center and the other on my computer electronics. They give me plenty of time to shut things down if the power goes out for very long. I’m planning on getting another one to put on the rest of the electronics I have.
  • Has already saved mine twice since I bought it. This years bad weather has already cost me a second computer.
  • I set up my new APC as directed. Shortly thereafter, my power was interrupted several times during fall thunderstorms. The battery didn’t take over and my computer shut down immediately. I ran the self test and it did the same thing. No one answered my email inquiry on the website. Telephone support has limited hours that are unavailable to anyone who works regular hours. When I finally had time to call, the support person was great. She discovered that my unit was faulty and is sending a new one. I’m hoping that one will work. I’ve used this company’s products for a long time and never had a problem like this one.
