Reviews

  • I’m so happy I found this product. I’ve been paying triple if not more for test strips. I tested using the high priced strips vs. ReliOn and the results were the same. I will only use ReliOn from now on.
  • These work just as well as the expensive ones for the 1 year + that I have been using them. The price is excellent as I can afford these as I test 7 times a day and the name brand ones are just way too expensive even after the insurance deductible. Would definitally recommend these to others as a great way to keep yourself monitored and still be able to afford them.
  • Good product and price for the tester and strips. Due to changes in my insurance, I had to find a lower cost for daily testing. Bought the tester and these strips at the local Walmart for months and now they haven’t been available for months. Took 10 days to get my online order so be sure to order well in advance.
  • …..but it would be nice if WM would give you a little more of a break on the 100 ct package. You only save 12 cents with the 100 instead of buying 2 50s. Given the already excellent deal, that’s a relatively minor complaint, though. One really odd thing about the design of the strip. The picture shows the machine end of the strip with an open rectangle, but roughly 50% of the boxes I’ve received have a closed off rectangle….weird how it seems to alternate open/closed with each box I purchase. Don’t really care as long as the accuracy and low price continue
  • testers and find both of them quite accurate and cost effective to use over the costlier highly advertised major company brands THIS ”prime” brand seems to currently have the lowest cost i have found and i can get more use than the higher price brands expected [even with insurance]. no lancet is provided and the storage case is VERY basic and the meter falls out easily…BUT i still prefer it over 4 choices i have tried.. this is a cost effective winner and allows more frequent testing due to the lower cost. i keep one at home and one for travel [ you have a red or blue purchase choice– if you shop carefully the colors are offered separately– to help remember!.] the higher initial meter cost is offset by test strip savings for the frequent user. strips are always available and fresh in online shopping but frequently sold out in stores due to many consumers now choosing this ”prime” label. i get 100 strips for $17.88 currently or 50 strips for $9.00. decent quality replacement meter batteries can cost $4-$5.00 per year.for frequent users…
  • It works great, as good as the expensive strips. My husband is a Type 1 and his insurance cut back on the free strips. We purchased your meter and the strips and are very satisfied with them. It has saved us a lot since he uses 4 a day somedays and always 2 a day. We have been using them for a year now.
  • After being diagnosed as Diabetic I was recommended to try Walmart’s Reli On brand. I hesitated to try them fearful of reliability. After spending so much to test using Bayer Meter and test strips, I tried Reli On meter and test strips. I was pleasantly surprised with the result after a week. The simple saving alone made me switch but now I am a believing customer that the product is just as good as the big boys.
  • I tried this product because of price. To test a brand new to me I took several readings over a period of a minute or two. I took 3 readings with ReliOn strips and a 4th with my usual brand, One Touch. All 4 reading varied. Since the product (the test strips and meter) are non-returnable, I phoned the number on the package, and spent 39+ minutes on the phone seeking resolution. Initially — at about the 33 minute mark — I was told that it was my responsibility to pay return postage so I could get a refund in the form of a gift card. My response was, “You [ReliOn] need to pay the postage if you want your defective product returned.” Eventually, they agreed to send me a postage paid envelope. I was told I can expect a refund in 4 to 6 weeks. My advice: You can probably find a product better suited to your needs at Walmart.
