Reviews

  • My son bought this with his Birthday money and couldn’t be happier! He has played with it non-stop. The toy has many great features such as:playing catch with the bone, guard mode, and many more! Definitely worth the money!
  • Another great interactive game from Zoomer. Z-Rex, one of the series of Zoomer Chomplingz. This little dinosaur will keep young children amused and busy for hours. Not only does it pass gas (and I think the adults laughed harder than the kids did, the first time we heard it), it will also cluck like a chicken, as well as let out a fairly loud dinosaur roar. It has several games that it will play with your kids, including “Hot Hands” and “Sound Waves.” There are also more fun activities on Zoomer’s website: zoomerdino.com. The modes are easily recognized by younger children, the color of his eyes when you press his back and give a Z-Rex command. Z-Rex also has sensors in his nose that can detect hand signals, a mouth sensor so he knows if something is in his mouth, a foot switch, that will cause him to chomp and roar. Overall, the instructions are simple enough for a young child. It was only a matter of minutes before my 6 year old grandson figured out the majority of the features and games. It is the first thing he wants to play with before and after school. If you are looking for a small interactive toy, for a child 5 years and up, that doesn’t rely on a computer to charge it, Chomplingz may be perfect. It does require 3 AAA batteries.
  • We received this toy as part of a bzzagent campaign for review. Once we were able to pry this little guy from his box & add batteries boy did he come to life. If you are looking for a quiet toy this is not the one for you. He roars & farts and makes lots a silly movements. My twins sat for hours playing with him & throwing him is bone. His eyes change colors indicating what he is willing to play with you. Over all fun & interactive for the kids!
  • This is the coolest toy. My 5 year old nephew just loves him. The Zoomer Chomplingz Hyjinx Interactive Dinosaur. I received this toy from the Spark Reviewer Program. It requires 3 AAA batteries and once you install the fun begins. The battery back is connected with a string so it won’t get lost like so many do. The “Z-REX” roars, growls, plays catch and several interactive games. One of my nephews favorites is when you pull Z-REX’s tail he passes gas. He can put him in guard mode and he will guard his bedroom by growling and lighting up when someone enters. I think this is going to be the “toy” this Christmas. He will interact with the other Chomplingz toys. Very cool toy!
  • I think this toy was pretty sweet deal and really cool especially for the price. You can make him growl and make noises by touching him in different places. If you pull his tail he passes gas sometimes which was a big hit with my 11 year old son and my very mature husband…lol!! He has different modes to activate different games etc. You can play catch with him with his bone. He basically just keeps his mouth open and you toss it. There is another game where you keep your hand in his mouth and when his eye change a certain color he “bites” down. He trys to trick you into thinking he is going to bite by changing his eye color but it is the wrong one. If you move your hand too soon you lose. If you keep it in too long you lose. I honestly can not tell when he bites and can not tell when the game is over. So I did not think this part was much fun. You can also make him cluck like a chicken which was funny to my kiddos. He does not move on his own but he does have wheels so you can push him forwards and backwards. We did this basically to play with our cats and dogs. He also beat boxes which does not last very long or sound like beat boxing to us. But it was still enjoyable for us to make him do it. He also does sound warp but we did not do that with him. But you put him in that game mode then by pushing him or pulling his tail he changes sounds. You are also able to put him in guard mode. And when an object gets close he growls at it.
  • I will begin by saying that we love our Zoomer Puppy, Shadow, but, not this Zoomer little guy. Out of the box, his tail was broken. I super glued it back on and it fell off again. Without the tail, he does not stand up right. You can not perform his tricks without his stability, his tail. He comes with a bone and needs 3 AAA batteries. His eyes change colors when you push the button on his back and he roars. My husband and 6 year old daughter could not get his games right. Every time he opened his mouth to roar, he fell over, without his tail. However, my 3 year old niece loved him. She just toted him around and made him roar to everyone. She loved his bone as well. I think if he was working correctly, he might have been more fun for our family. But, since a very crucial part of him was broken and kept him from working correctly, he was not fun for us. Zoomer products are fun. I do not think that all Zoomer products should be judged by this one toy. Our Zoomer puppy, Shadow works great and is still working great even after having him for over a year. I am assuming that they made this toy cheaper for more people to afford and it shows. He was made poorly. I DO recommend Zoomer toys, just not this one.
