Reviews

  • The HP 11.6″ Stream X360 Laptop PC with Intel Celeron is a nice laptop especially for it being small. I really like that it is a touch screen and that the keyboard can be turned 360 degrees. It makes it so easy to turn it into a tablet. You can even turn it sideways so it is easy to read books. I like to bring it to bed with me so I can play games or check my email or even watch movies or videos while I lay in bed. I can turn the keyboard around where it is a tablet and it is not as bulky as with a regular laptop that does not have the ability to turn 360. The processor is pretty fast and it seems to have a good amount of storage. I have not had a chance to try the Microsoft Office yet but I am hoping that it is easy to use. I am still a beginner to intermediate at computers. I still have a lot to learn. The on screen keyboard makes it easy to type. I have a tendency to hit the space bar or other keys while typing because it is a small laptop. The battery last a pretty long time. I only have to charge it every couple days depending on how much I use it. I was expecting it to have a short battery life because of the size but I was really surprised at how long it lasted. This laptop has 3 USB ports so there is room to connect other devises. There is also a place for memory cards, which I really like. I can store pictures and recipes and more ion a memory card rather than take up room on the internal memory. There is also a place to connect headphones so I can watch movies quietly. There is also a place for an Ethernet to be connected if need be. I was able to download Windows 10. It took about an hour to and hour and a half from start to finish to download. I have cable internet so with other internets it may take longer. I really do not care for it. There is no home symbol to make it easy to go back to it and every time I want to go to a site that I frequent regularly I have to type it in. I have all my usual site in favorites but it is not easy to navigate. It is really confusing. I also use to be able to swipe the right side to pull up the setting and other short cuts so that I can shut it down, now I have to go to the start button on the left side instead. The right side now has an action center where you can switch your laptop to a tablet mode, make notes, change settings and more. I personally prefer Windows 8. I wish I could go back to it. Windows 10 would probably be a good choice for someone more experienced that I am. I would definitely recommend this laptop for any one looking for a small one. It has all the things you are looking for in a full size but in a smaller more compact size. I really do like HP computers also. My last desktop and my older laptop was both HP. They lasted me a very long time with very little problems. I think my main problem with them was that I ran out of memory on them. Oh and I do LOVE Siri on the Windows 10.
  • I received the HP 11.6 Stream X360 in the mail. I was surprised by the beautiful blue color it came in. At first glance it looks like a kid’s toy but once you turn it on you know it’s not. It’s has 32G storage, 2G RAM, 3USB ports, SD slot, HDMI slot, and Ethernet slot. I come loaded with Office 365. This is a convertible computer which I love because it can be a laptop, a tablet or a stand up. I was so glad when the computer industry got it together and did this. The HP Stream is 12” in width by 9” in length and approximately 1.5” in height. The premise of this machine is its ability to run all the cloud based programs, mainly Microsoft and Adobe. I am sure subsidizing the cost of these PC, just speculation, as HP has packed a many features in nice laptop for an incredibly low price. I doubt they could have done this without subsidies coming from the big software makers, who stand the most to gain. For all the basics, web, email, tablet functions, apps, it is more than adequate. I think this concept might take off, and soon be the new low cost super tablet. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a Tab and Laptop combination.
  • This HP 11.6″ Stream X360 Laptop PC with Intel Celeron N2840 Dual-Core Processor, 2GB Memory, Touchscreen, 32GB eMMC, Windows 8.1, and Microsoft Office 365 (1-yr subscription) is very nice. You can do a lot on this laptop like watch movies or tv shows, listen to music or watch music videos. You can use this laptop like a regular computer at home or at the office, but you can take this laptop anywhere you go. You can connect and use a mouse like you use on a regular computer to scroll through or click on what you are looking for, or you can use the keyboard that is connected to the laptop to look up stuff or even tap and type on the screen itself to look up stuff. You can check your emails and even hook up a printer to this laptop and print. You can take pictures, add them in here and print them off this laptop too. There are a lot of apps on here and you can play games. I’m sure there is a lot more you can do on here that I am not even familiar with. If you work, or have your own business, you can do your business on here and take it with you, which is even better than having to wait to get home or at work to do what needs to be done on here. This would be a great laptop for a student in school or college. I love the color of it. It’s blue and when you open it up it starts out with a dark blue and then fades into a light blue. You can read a book on here. You can write a letter and print it out. Basically, almost anything you can do on a home computer, you can do on here. You can add your sims card to it or use your camera cord to add pictures to this laptop. The only thing it does not have on this laptop is a dvd drive. You can only watch shows through a website, like Netflix or Hulu or your TV channels if you have a subscription to them. I do highly recommend this laptop. It works great for me and my needs. I am going to add a couple pictures on here to show you what it looks like! Thank you walmart spark review for letting me review this! It is awesome!
  • Am I the only one who doesn’t like this laptop? I bought it after reading all these rave reviews and now I wondering if maybe I just got a lemon because I’m not sure how anyone can give this laptop a good rating if it is performing like mine…or not performing as I should said. This laptop is slow as molasses. It takes so long to load simple websites (like it took a while for it to complete load this Walmart review page) and every single video that I’ve tried to watch on Youtube is laggy/glitchy/buggy. And thats on regular 360p, not even HD. So I’m returning this because I’m not asking for much in a laptop (just need something to write my papers on, send emails, watch videos on Youtube, and browse the internet) and this can not even handle those simple operations. Sigh.
